About Hayden

Over the past years, I’ve tried to live my dream of creating web sites for thousands to share in. Through my fingertips I continue to etch on the world wide web.

Born may 3rd 1979 in Antigua (An Island in the Caribbean sea) and growing up near the ocean, my childhood was full of nature and the astonishing creations of God, which I grew to appreciate very much.

My interest in the internet sprung up around 1996 when I first had access to the service at home. Ever curious as to “what made things go” I made it a goal of being a web developer. I attended the All Saints Secondary School and graduated in 1998, after which I enrolled with NRI schools (of MHE) in Washington for a course in web development. Then in 1999 with the HTML fresh in mind and lots of practical self-taught experience I got a job with Antigua Online (a local news paper company, antiguasunonline.com) – where I served as the Web Design Artist for the daily online paper.

First Online Creation
Being an artists in pastels and watercolors, I came up with the idea to market and sell my paintings along with other accomplished artists in Antigua over the internet. The Antiguan Art web site was created in 4 months and had secure shopping available where I sold paintings until deciding to discontinue selling copies of originals (Some of my originals date back to 1997).

Also in 1999, I created the web site PureHonda.com, which in two years became an online hit, pulling over 200,000 unique visitors per month and over 50,000 registered members. Purehonda.com was also featured in 3 major US magazines ( Sport Compact Car (Published by Primedia, who also publishes Motor Trend), Super Street [2 times], and Honda Tuning) here’s what two of these had to say:

“Purehonda.com is the distilled, 100% unrelenting Honda fix you need. If it were possible, we’d tell you to open a vein and pump the HTML directly into your blood stream.” – Super Street

“With all the vinegar and spice of a tabloid newspaper, Purehonda.com crowds an immense quantity and variety of information into it’s display page. There’s enough information and stimulation here to captivate the Honda/Acura addict for hours – if not days!… if you stop by we’re sure you’ll agree that Purehonda.com comes as close to achieving a “virtual community” for Honda and Acura partisans as anyone on the web!.” – Sport Compact Car

PureHonda.com was sold on Sept 10th 2001. Then in 2004, I created PinStack.com, a smartphone discussion community that supports users with news, reviews and help for major platforms. Catering to enthusiasts, developers and corporate professionals, PinStack delivers high-level smartphone content and attracts quality user generated content. PinStack.com covers virtually every smartphone & IT related topic imaginable! PinStack.com receives about 500,000 unique visitors per month.

The newspaper Ottawa Citizen had this to say about PinStack.com: “…a virtual playground where technology buffs network, trade advice, and get the latest gadget news!”

I’ve also worked for AT&T Wireless and Cable & Wireless, but currently I am involved in various web site marketing and development projects.
