Everything reminds me of you, Mother

| July 8th, 2009 by thehayden

The silence of constant night unaffected,
By my gaze towards the brilliance of the bursting moon,
Yet, shadowed by the love I once told you to remember, Mother.

Droplets of tears fall forever within,
As they batter memories, ever so present.
Memories of your battle and grasp for dear life, Mother.

When the nights are silent, like this,
It becomes just me and thoughts of you.
Then at dawn the sun is lazy for me.
Without you, life still seems, to contain you,
What do I do now? Mother.

Reflection
How do you move forward from the death of a loved one when their absence means the death of your moving forward?

Hayden, This is a wonderful poem. I enjoyed it as it really captures your emotions and feelings. It must be hard but she will always be there with you in spirit…..watching and helping you move forward. My thoughts are with you and your family! Thanks for sharing
