Graceful Sensations

| July 1st, 2009 by thehayden

In a beach chair blue I sit, retreating from wake or care.
Caramel grains of sand sift between my toes of playful rest.
Clouds aloof, drape themselves in the sun’s red.
As the chilled Caribbean sea-breeze, proves around my skin,
The voices of friends on it rides inquiringly into my ears.

Night whispers it’s presence with ever growing certainty,
The seagulls surrender and into it they wistfully disappear.
All inhaled & savored, with each wave’s caress into the shore.
Ever so far away, the sky’s bulbs begin to twinkle brightly.
As the belly of celestial beauty, bulges & exclaims toward the night.
Tis’ so I sink even deeper into it’s metamorphosis, of graceful sensations.

Reflection:
Many times it has been said, that we take the creation around us for granted. Do we? Did we look straight up or off into the sky this morning? Did we watch as the city lights slowly freckle the night’s approach? Did we connect with the day’s strongest breeze and at that moment take the extra breath of appreciation? Life on earth is such a wonderful gift and there’s soo much to enjoy. Lets take one moment, of each today, with us tomorrow.
